A semi-circular design for the border of a silver tray showing Bacchus, nymphs and cupids revelling.
The designer and engraver Thomas Stothard produced several designs for the decoration of Buckingham Palace, many of which, following the death of George IV, were never carried out. This is a design for a tray, part of the Grand Service made for George IV (see RCIN 50837).Provenance
