These rooms on the second floor of James V's Tower in the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Edinburgh,
were occupied by James V's daughter, Mary, Queen of Scots, from 1561 until 1567.
It was here, in the Queen's private apartments, that the brutal murder of Mary's secretary,
the Italian David Rizzio, took place on 9 March 1566.
